Jazz is everywhere in Sarasota, even in churches. A few of the well known venues are the Jazz Club of Sarasota, Jazz concert series on Longboat Key, “Jazz at Two” in the Bayfront Community Center, Fall concert series at the Sarasota Opera House, and the Spring concert series at the Van Wezel Hall.

The Sarasota Opera Guild, and the Florida West Coast Symphony Orchestra presents outstanding programs. Major events include the Sarasota Music Festival, and the Sarasota Jazz Festival.

Restaurants and nightclubs also feature live entertainment, such as the Coasters Restaurant, the Gator Club, Blu 1266 Lounge, Dance Palace Ballroom, Holiday Inn Holidome, Latitudes Dockside Dining, Sharkey’s on the Pier, and Marina Jack. The popular Saturday morning Farmers’ Market also features live music.
