Sarasota Florida Events
Early June is a great time for Florida residents to escape a few days of sun, sunshine and a bit of fun to Sarasota. While we have plenty of activities throughout the month, including a few weekends, the start of the season in November is a real kick-start. Most of SarasOTA's events take place in the summer, which tends to mitigate the peak season of snowfall and birds, especially after July 4th.
If you have a budget, there are probably some free things to do in Sarasota, Florida that aren't stingy with the fun. One of the best ways to spend a Saturday is to do it for some time and leave. If you need to get involved, check out the Kay Rosaire Museum of Natural History, which is now the oldest museum in the state of Florida. The museum is truly unique and is a kind of place; it was opened by KayRosaire in 1987 and a few decades later, in 2005, it was to become a non-profit organization.
It covers 556 acres, much of which is a mixed landscape that offers a great view of what Sarasota, Florida, has to do and what doesn't.
In addition, those who visit Siesta Key Beach know that it is one of the more romantic activities in Sarasota, so be there with your partner. This state park was opened in the 1950s, around the time the famous Sarasotas River, the Manatee River, was dammed. The beach Lido Key is free and a great place for a romantic getaway or just a stopover on the way to another fun thing to do in and around SarasOTA.

Note, however, that if you want to fish here, you will need an official license to fish in Florida's freshwater. Of course, you can also avoid the organized events altogether and instead concentrate on staying at the campsites and try to discover as much wildlife as possible. From festivals, events, parades and fireworks across the region, we found # the July 4th events in Sarasota that usually cover a wide range of activities, from camping to picnics, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, camping and more. Don't forget to look at some of the incredible things that are happening in Jacksonville and all the fun things that are happening in St. Augustine.
If you are an art collector, need artwork for your home or office, or just want to support art, join us at the annual Art in the Park event at Sarasota Art Gallery. Registration is $30 for adults and $20 for children, with all proceeds going to arts, arts education, arts education and arts and crafts programs. On July 4th from 5 pm to 7 pm, admission to the event is free, parking is free.
The powerboat race takes place on July 4th from 5 pm to 7 pm, tickets can be purchased online, other events cost admission. Be sure to sell out in record time. There are many fun things to experience during the three-day festival, including the aBorn in Sarasota, an in - that - Sunshine Festival. There is also a free blues appetizer and a concert, with all events free and open to the public. The concert will be held at Suncoast Music Hall on the second floor of the State Capitol Building, and tickets for the concert are $10.
Anglers will not want to miss the Sarasota Slam Fishing Tournament, which is usually held in the first two weeks of the year.

You can also stroll through the trail system of SarasOTA or meander to catch a glimpse of this wonderful structure.
